Lowercase k

The lowercase k belongs to the ascender loop family.
It begins with a tall ascender loop, then adds a controlled lower connection. The goal is a stable vertical structure and a clean join.
The k should not become crowded in the middle. Keep the join clear and the lower movement balanced.
Practice slowly and focus on five things:
Separate the ascender control from the middle join when you practice.
- Build a narrow ascender loop.
- Keep the shaded stroke steady.
- Add the middle join cleanly.
- Avoid crowding the lower part.
- Finish with a light exit hairline.
If the join becomes messy, practice the ascender first, then add the lower movement separately.
