Why glass is useful
Glass can be cleaned and reused repeatedly when handled correctly. Keep separate pipettes for different colours or materials when cross-contamination could affect the result.
Cleaning steps
- Empty the remaining liquid into an appropriate container.
- Rinse immediately with clean water.
- Draw in and expel water several times.
- For dried water-based ink, soak only the compatible glass section in warm water.
- For waterproof or Indian ink, use a cleaner recommended by the ink manufacturer.
- Leave all parts to dry fully before storage.
