Preparing and cleaning a nib
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to remove protective residue from a new nib.
- Test on scrap paper before writing.
- Rinse promptly after use.
- Dry completely before storage.
- Do not leave the nib soaking in water or ink.

What to check before writing

Care
Wipe away ink promptly. Avoid soaking the complete holder unless the manufacturer specifically allows it. Keep ink away from the flange, socket, and grip whenever possible.
